How long does the application process take?

Processing times vary depending on the completeness of your documents and the current volume of applications. On average, the process from submission to conditional approval takes approximately 3 to 6 months. Wanda manages the entire timeline to ensure a smooth experience.

Can I work in Malaysia with an MM2H visa?

Platinum tier holders are permitted to work, run a business, and serve as company directors or shareholders in Malaysia. Silver and Gold tier holders are not allowed to work or run businesses in Malaysia. However, remote work for overseas employers is generally accepted.

Is there a minimum stay requirement?

Participants under 50 years old are required to stay in Malaysia for a minimum of 90 cumulative days per year. This requirement can be shared among dependants. Participants aged 50 and above are exempt from the minimum stay requirement.

Can I withdraw my fixed deposit?

Yes, a maximum withdrawal of 50% of the principal fixed deposit value is permitted upon visa endorsement for approved expenses including property purchases, children's education, and medical expenses in Malaysia. The remaining balance must be maintained until you terminate your participation.

Can I sell the property I purchased under MM2H?

Properties purchased under MM2H cannot be sold within 10 years unless you are upgrading to a property of higher value or terminating your participation in the programme. The property must be a single unit meeting the tier's minimum value requirement.

Can I apply directly or do I need an agent?

All MM2H applications must be submitted through a licensed agency registered with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture (MOTAC) under the Tourism Industry Act 1992. Wanda is a licensed MM2H agent that handles the entire application process on your behalf.
